Q&A with Maddy Reinhardt

What do you love about coming to Byron Bay?

Byron feels like a ‘home away from home.’ I have been coming down for years, and it never fails to disappoint!

Byron Bay in 3 words…

Beautiful, unmatched, groovy

What does your ideal day in Byron Bay look like?

Start off the day with a sunrise walk up to the lighthouse and around Wategos, straight into a nutritious breakfast at a local cafe with a big cup of coffee! Spend the whole day at the beach, and last but not least, finish the day with some happy hour cocktails!

The Surf House serves up happy hour drinks and cocktail specials daily from 3-6pm.

Have you got any go-to foodie spots in Byron?

I am a big sucker for food and drinks!! If you are visiting Byron for the night and love Asian food, please please please go check out Bang Bang, it is delicious!!! If you are looking for something a little bit boujee, you can never go wrong with a lunch at Raes on Wategos. I love toasted sandwiches, and I have discovered the best are at Combi.

What is your top hidden spot in the Bay?

This is a hard one as I feel like all of Byron’s hidden spots are no longer hidden! If anything, I personally believe the industrial bit of Byron just outside of town has some awesome cafes and shops!

What 3 items would we always find in your beach bag?

Sunscreen, a hat and coconut water.

Favourite place to stay?

Will forever be The Surf House Byron Bay! They are always so accommodating and I don’t think you could ask to be in a better location!

As a model you must be on the road quite a bit! How do you like to keep active when traveling?

I am a big sucker for sunrise walks, otherwise HUSTL in Byron is a great studio and I love the girls there!

Is there a song sums up a Byron Bay vacay for you?

The Look by Metronomy! I can just imagine driving around Byron blasting this song to set the vibes high!
